It is no longer news that Nigerians' now delve into small businesses in order to earn a living and also contribute their quota to the smooth running of their families.

While some start off with support from family and friends, others persist even without support from their loved ones just to ensure they make ends meet and not solely depend on extended families.
This week info-store on Saturday chronicles the life of Tinuke Adefuye who defied discouragements from family and engage in menial jobs, combining three trades besides catering to support her home financially.
A native of  Obafemi,Owode a community in Ajebo axis, said she cultivates different types of crops, sells firewood and does some vegetable grinding.
She said when she first started, she could barely make ends meet as the income she made was very small but she kept persisting."I was determined to succeed so I started with firewood.I was selling firewood  and by the time I took out the cost of transportation and that of those that helped me piece the wood, I realized that I made so little, but I refused to give up", she said.
Tinuke Adefuye in her quest would later join her husband in the farm and insisted he gave her a little portion where she could plant what she wanted. After persuading him for a while he obliged and gave her a section that was tired, a portion which he wanted to allow fallow for sometime.
The mother of four who has been married for 11years said farming was not a new venture to her considering that as a child she always went with her father to the farm to help out.
She said her husband does not provide her with money even though he is buoyant enough, except that he provides sufficient food for the family."My husband provides food for us. He ensures he feeds us well.
She now sells a truckload of firewood and sometimes makes up to N20,000 from it besides the income she makes from the crops she harvests."All the income I use it to support my husband and family. I know the benefits of making-your-own-money".
The multi-crop farmer advises Nigerians' to find alternative sources of income that will support them and their families so that they do not just sit idle at home and depend on families."Youths need to be very wise these days, you must be hard working and make your own money", she advised.
