Some lifestyle changes the world is going through since COVID-19

Before 2020, no one could have guessed that the events of the first quarter would rock the entire world. Then the COVID-19 pandemic happened. And since then, the events resulting from the disease have formed topics of discussion, concern, and even a turning point for some.

With an event as drastic as the pandemic, life is sure to change in more ways than we can imagine.
More than we may care to admit, our lifestyle choices have changed since the Rona came to town. Here are some ways people’s lifestyles have changed:
  • Face Masks Are The New Must-Have Fashion Accessory
Face masks are here to stay. At the early stages of the worldwide outbreak of corona, medical personnel advised the public to adhere to making use of masks as a preventive measure to reduce the spread of the virus.
At the time, this was just a medical recommendation but now, the face mask game has totally changed. No longer are people just wearing the regular plain, boring disposable masks. Fashion designers have churned out great face masks inspirations made from both semi-luxury to luxury materials. Patterns, such as velvet, satin, have been experimentally used in designing face masks.
In fact, the face mask game is taken a step further when some people wear facemasks to match their outfits.
  • Big Events Are The New Evil
Yep. Large religious gatherings, concerts, raves, parties, etc are the new evil. No longer are companies and individuals organizing events attracting large audience during this period.
Instead, people are opting for virtual spaces as alternatives to hosting their large events. And in cases beyond their control, people and organisations opt for smaller events. For instance, a wedding ceremony which could have taken a gathering of 100 people will be substituted for a virtual wedding where attendees follow the ceremony online; watching from a distance.
  • Everyone Needs Their Own Space. Literally
The time for maximising personal space is here. With the nature of the disease, keeping a good distance from people is an important way to keep safe.
We’ve seen basic gestures like handshakes, hugs, and perks dying off among strangers and sometimes, with friends. Waves, bows, feet-shakes and air gestures have replaced the way we used to greet and express salutation to others.
Major lifestyle change alert guys.
  • Remote Work Is The New Normal
You’re probably tired of hearing the term “remote work”. This work culture is a major lifestyle change for a lot of people and is gradually taking a solid stand in the working economy.
Some people have already adapted to working from home in their sleepwear and consuming more internet than they ever have. Virtual meetings are the new normal so also are other work tasks which should have been executed virtually.
  • COVID-19 Jokes
There’s never a situation no matter how deadly or serious that has escaped being the topic of humour in Nigeria. The COVID-19 is not an exception.
Comedy skits on the subject are not lacking. Conversations laced with COVID jokes are also common and it’s very likely you too, know at least one of these jokes.
  • Change In Spending Culture
Remember when you used to spend on some unnecessary stuff? We bet the pandemic has somehow changed your spending culture.
Now, most people can confirm that at the start of the lockdown, they assumed they’d be saving more since they wouldn’t have to spend on transportation. Most soon realised that all that transportation money would go into data and internet subscriptions. Mad science really.
You may not have noticed it, but you’re more conscious of the price of items when you shop these days. Coincidence? I think not.
Recognize any changes that apply to you?

What God told me about Coronavirus

Coronavirus according to google is a large family of viruses that cause illness range from the common cold to more severe diseases such as Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERs-COV)  and severe Acute Syndrome (SARS-COV).

Sometimes in the first week of this month before the number of confirmed infected people increased to eight I saw a revelation of so many Nigerians afffected by the virus.  I saw many people looking for shield even as many tested positive to the virus in the trance.

There was this particular woman I recall seeing vividly. She championed the decision to spread the virus to as many people as she could. If I am to predict her age this seeming wicked woman should be in her early 50s. I used the word wicked because I still wonder why she would be intentional about spreading ithe virus to many people.

I didn't contact the virus despite the fact that the infected persons were desperate to spread it to people around them. A voice said to me right in the trance to plead the blood of Jesus upon myself, immediately I did the woman ran far away from me with her coronavirus.

I woke up and realised it was a dream.I blessed the name of God for saving me as I remembered the popular statement which says the spiritual controls the physical, I became more joyful having recalled  pleading the blood of Jesus made the carrier of the virus stay far from me.

Well the Bible  in Exodus 12v13 says  "And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt

@Pastor EA Adeboye on his Twitter handle shared, "I want to assure you that so far you are in the secret place of the most high, no virus can come near your dwelling.Remember being able to abide under his shadow involves you living a life of cleanliness, the basic things like washing your hands keeping your environment clean.

Well, it is safer to say people should take shield in Jesus Christ, Plead the blood of Jesus on yourself and abide in the secret place of the most high.

They however should not forget personal hygiene. They should also ensure they keep away from elements and things that can trigger the virus.

We wish those tested positive of the virus quick recovery in Jesus name.Amen.

Simi’s Pens Sweet Words To Adekunle Gold On Ther First Wedding Anniversary

Simi and Adekunle Gold

Nigerian singer Simi has gotten many in their feelings with her wedding anniversary message to her husband, Adekunle Gold.
The ‘Joromi crooner took to her Instagram page to share a beautiful photo from their wedding and penned a beautiful lengthy piece for her man which reads thus;l

”Pretty baby. The very thing that you mean to me, I doubt you’ll ever fully understand. I don’t like to share our best moments, because they belong to us – so people might never even know the level of your special. It’s a really high level that is higher than other levels. No one is more in sync with me than you.
“I love how you’re mindful of me. Nothing’s perfect. Not even with your Ikotun background
– but I love how you deliberately want to be better. You will see something inside film and ask me at 2am how you can be a better man for me. Lol. So cute a man.
“Before we said I do, 95% of the advice I got was “Endure”. I was stumped cos I’ve never been able to relate. Endure? Forever and ever? Like till the end of your days? Lol. Quite rubbish. Thank you for never ever being someone I’ve ever had to endure.
“Don’t like it much when people “couplegoals” us – cos as far as I’m concerned, we, i.e me and you, are on a personal journey. Our ups our downs (Olorun o ni je ka rogun down), our growth, our learning and unlearning, our Love (aww) is our story. Everyone’s standard should be their best self. Thank you for being someone that makes me want to be my best self.
“Moruf, thank you for Year One. They said it’s normally hard. Again, I can’t relate because I loved it. I love you. I pray year two is even better by God’s infinite mercy and grace and love. I thank God for standing with us and giving us sense. And I thank you for being a man that makes loving you worth it.”
“My beautiful dreamboat. My fellow feminist boyfriend. My husband. Ife mi. Onitemi. The love of my life. I will continue to eat your work in the eye of carton.
to all the forevers we will spend together.”
PS: Year two is one or two sentences. I have what I’m doing
.
.
PPS: Everyone, please whatever chance you get today, say a prayer for us. I love those

2020 fashion trends forecast

FASHION shows and what celebrities wear are main factors which affect fashion trends. These trends change all the time depending on how they are accepted and through this, one can easily guess what will continue to trend or not.
From hairstyles to clothing to shoes, these style trends are bold and statement-making. They rocked the month of December 2019 and we are definitely seeing more of them in 2020.
Neon: These are extremely bright versions of primary and secondary colours, such as blue, red, green, yellow and purple. The neon colours stand apart from other types of colour due to the fact that they emit light, making them luminescent. Despite the fact that neon is a hard trend to pull off, towards the end of 2019, these colours started trending and it does not look like there’s any stopping anytime soon.

Tie and dye: Before late 2019, tie and dye was near dead, but then, all of a sudden, it was back again. Tie and dye is when a cloth is dyed by hand and colour patterns produced in the fabric by gathering together many small portions of material and tying them tightly with string before immersing the cloth in the dye bath. After dying, the fabric is untied to reveal irregular circles, dots and stripes. Keep an eye on more playful prints this year.
Tulle: This is a lightweight, very fine, stiff netting. The name comes from Tulle, a city in the Southern Central region of France. Whether sewn alone, or added to another material, tulle sure speaks elegance and it will undoubtedly be one of the most used fabrics of the year.
Mules: One reason why mules trended almost all through 2019 is because they are unique and easy to style, for both male and female. They offer semi-coverage with an open-back which makes them versatile; for work or for play. There are many styles of mules which can be matched with any outfit at all. We have the classic block heel mules, the transparent mules, the casual mule, and the loafer mule. Because of its comfortability, the mules are going nowhere, at least for now.
Puff sleeves: This type of sleeves, which is full in between, or full at the top and bottom, bottom only or top only, are the style of the moment. Almost everyone is realising how elegant it looks and are trying not to be left behind. These sleeves can be incorporated into any type of cloth, such as dress, suit, t-shirt, jumpsuit or a simple top. It is safe to say the puff sleeves will have a comeback this year too.

High ponytail: The ponytail is a hairstyle, in which some, most or all of the hair on the head is pulled away from the face, gathered and secured at the back of the head with a hair tie, drawstring or clip and allowed to hang freely from that point. Saying people loved this hairstyle is an understatement because it was all over. 2020 is definitely going to see more of it.

Five ways to appear while on a date

Going out on a date with a crush for the first time can be tasking, as the thoughts of how to appear on the date would be the only thought in mind.
Many people, especially girls, weary themselves with their appearance and comportment, which might lead to the person looking extremely unsettled on the day of the date, which could send wrong signals to the person they are on a date with.
Being real is an attribute everyone must imbibe if you must appear great on a date, avoid fake life, keeping your dress style simple and yet attractive.
Below are five tips on how to look when going on a date:
Be yourself: Being yourself is one of the most important of when considering your appearance when on a date. When going on a date with someone we should always appear real to avoid putting the wrong impression on your crush minds, which might last over time.
Be comfortable: What you wear for a particular date should be comfortable, don’t wear a cloth that will make you adjust yourself every minute. This might make you feel so uncomfortable. When you become so uneasy during a date, the person you’re on a date with might just feel
you’re not interested in him or her.
Be simple yet classy: Looking simple does not men you’ll appear or unkempt. In looking simple, you must appear neat, not with very expensive apparels but with clothing that will suggest modesty and still keep you classy and attractive enough to leave a lasting impact on you crush.
Be honest: As the popular saying goes, “Honesty is the best policy”. Being honest is the best habit you can appear in when on a date, trying to impress will only prove what you’re not, some people feel they might be unacceptable, and so they tell their crush some lies that might later be used against them in future.
Don’t be a talkative: When on a date with someone for the first time, you must avoid talking too much, invest the time you intend using to talk, to study the person (This doesn’t mean you should be quiet while on a date). You must also avoid saying everything you see, you can keep it and discuss about it later on.
