Cross Dresser, Idris Okuneye, a.k.a Bobrisky, has been sentenced to six months in jail without an option of fine by the Federal High Court in Lagos.

Recall that Bobrisky was convicted by
Justice Abimbola Awogboro last week Friday, April 5, 2024, for abusing and mutilating the Naira notes following his arrest and arraignment by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFFC).

The court had fixed the date for sentencing after Bobrisky pleaded guilty to a four-count charge of tampering with N490,000 by spraying, brought against him by EFCC.

Justice Awogboro held that the judgement will serve as a deterrence to others who are fond of abusing and mutilating the Nigerian currency.

When asked in court about his sex, Bobrisky identified as Male. The judge says sentencing Idris Olarewaju Okuneye to prison for abusing the Nigerian Currency will serve as deterrence to others fond of abusing the Naira.
Bobrisky was subsequently sentenced to serve his jail term at the Ikoyi Correctional Center.
