Ogun 2019: Ad Gov'ship Candidate Meets Party Stalwarts In Ogun State

The Gubernatorial Candidate of Alliance for Democracy (AD) in the forthcoming General Election in Ogun State, Oluseyi Gavriel Olufade Olowookere (OGO) met with the party stalwarts Ipokia Local Government of Ogun State.

This is in a bid to prepare earnestly and adequately for the much anticipated election as footsoldiers and mobilisers for the Party Candidate.

While addressing the party executives, stakeholders and party members, Olowookere narrated his adventure in both private and public sector, according to him, "I have travelled wide and near to gather experience about leadership and community building, I've worked both nationally and internationally, I know what is obtainable, my drive in politics is to have effective public service, a good governance and a productive public administrative system".

He said further that "earlier on, people wanted me to contest under PDP or APC, but my ideology said nay, I need a party with track record of qualitative and quantitative service delivery, and only AD fits into the requirement, the party that did unforgettable sendoff for the junta government in Nigeria".

The Guber Candidate delve into the controversy of Yewa Agenda, he opined that the axis has been marginalized for a longer time, and the only way to get back the missing years is to send the best among the rest to represent our interests. He said prior to the time that he picked the ticket, he decided to examine all the candidates from different political parties, but he does not see the courage, capacity and readiness to fight the war and win the battle, he therefore comes as the best alternative worthy to be sent.

He added that over the years, Ipokia has been denied of some vital ingredients of development, in his voice, "there is nothing preventing Ipokia from having a good and equipped hospital together with well trained nurses and doctors, but the lackadaisical attitude of people in power has denied us of some vital indices of progress". He promised to bring up a new dawn if tested and trusted with their votes.

The Party Chairman of Idiroko Ward, Adegbemi Alaga while responding to O. G. O said he was so delighted to be part of the gathering, and he urged the "Incoming" Governor never to forget the constituency when he gets there. He promised that the rumour that they've endorsed anybody remains a hearsay and they are committed to work and vote for AD Candidate.

The woman leader of the party also expressed the readiness and commitment of the people to work together with the party candidate.



Chief Jinodu Taiwo who is an AD Party Elder showcase his happiness as he sees AD presenting a noble, young and promising candidate for the next election. He urged the Guber Candidate to work judiciously and harmoniously with party leaders at all levels as they will join hands together to preach the good tidings across boards, and he promised to also mobilize prayers and supports for AD Candidate.
