The Inspiration behind my new release, "Aji-Zanko"-Joel

One of the youngest, creative multi-talented Artist in the music industry in Nigeria, Joel Gowon, popularly known has MPJ,  has expressed the concept of his new song titled, "AJI-ZANKO."

Joel was born on July 17, 1995 into the family of Mr and Mrs Jacob Gowon.

According to him, "AJI-ZANKO" is a native word in Port-harcourt that welcomes and acknowledges the rich men in our society."

'The inspiration behind AJI - ZANKO revolves around those men that has gotten to a certain level and a certain height in our society which should be respected and recognized."

"Aji is a native word that means "welcome"in angars tribe while the "ZANKO" is derived from "BANKO". I removed the B and swopped with Z. Those people who are well made in the society it is just like greeting those who are well made, any rich person."

"Seeing rich people inspires me and birthed the song," he said.

"Talking about the top influential men in the society having your own eyes on them, once you greet an elderly person. So, the meaning of the "AJI" basically means "come" while the "ZANKO" is derived from "BANKO" because those men are well-to-do.

Joel is currently a student Covenant Poly-technic in Kogi State and a native of Kogi.
