Nasir el-Rufai, governor of Kaduna state, has recovered from COVID-19 — after nearly four weeks.
The governor announced his recovery on Twitter on Wednesday.
He said he tested negative twice for the disease.

The governor who became bearded while in isolation attended a virtual meeting chaired by his deputy on Monday.
El-Rufai had been in isolation since he tested positive for COVID-19 on March 28, and his deputy was in charge of the affairs of the state.
Other governors who have recovered from COVID-19 are Seyi Makinde of Oyo, and Bala Mohammed of Bauchi.
The Kaduna ministry of health on Wednesday said one COVID-19 patient had recovered and had been discharged in the state.
Amina Mohammed-Baloni, commissioner for health in the state, said the number of patients who have now been discharged is five.
But she added that three new cases of the disease had also been confirmed in the state, bringing the total number of active cases to four
