The Lagos State Government has announced the date for the reopening of schools for graduating students in the state.
During a live broadcast on Friday, while addressing residents of the state, Governor Babajide Sanwo-olu directed that students in Basic Six (Pry 6), JSS 3 and SS3 should return back to school on August 3rd 2020.
He said, “Only students in transitional classes (Basic Six, JSS 3 and SS3) are permitted to resume from Monday, 3rd of August, 2020.”

However, the Governor said the directive is only applicable to students attending day school.
Before the announcement by the Lagos government, recall the Presidential Task Force on Covid-19 had on Monday approved the reopening of schools for graduating students while giving update on the next phase of the gradual easing of the lockdown.
The PTF said the reopening of schools was meant to allow students in transiting classes resume preparation for their examinations.
