Some interesting facts you may also need to know about media career development specialist, Lekan Otufodunrin were highlighted during a hangout session organised by his mentees and protégés in commemoration of his 60th birthday last weekend.

The event held at the International Press Centre (IPC), Dideolu Estate Ogba, Lagos.

He is Currently the Secretary of World Association for Christian Communication (WACC):

In 1988, Mr Lekan Otufodunrin had the opportunity to travel to attend an advanced Journalism Training at Thompson Foundation in Cardiff, UK, during his stay in Cardiff, he learnt about World Association for Christian Communication (WACC), offered to become a member, attended trainings ,and he currently holds the position of the Secretary of the Africa Region.

He is from Ijebu-East:

Mr Lekan Otufodunrin during a question and answer session at the Mentees/Proteges hangout session, shared that he hails from Imagbon, a town situated in Ijebu East, Ogun State.


He is Selfless:
'Ijebu People Are Stingy'

Well, in contrary to this popular myth about personalities who hail from Ijebu.  Mr Lekan Otufodunrin's life is a testament that 'Ijebu people are Selfless. During the hangout session,  majority of his mentees in attendance testified that Lekan Otufodunrin  have been a blessing to them financially.

His Mum Graced Is Birthday Celebration Held At His Church,  Living Faith Church Sango Ota:

His mum, was also in attendance, at the celebration of  his 60th birthday held at Living Faith Church, Sango-Ota.

He Also Collaborates With the Wole Soyinka Centre for Investigative Journalism (WSCIJ) to mentor Journalists.

He is Happily Married to a beautiful wife Mrs Ronke Otufodunrin and their union is blessed with four children (3 boys and a girl).

His Mentees and Proteges, have inaugurated an organisation called ‘Lekan Otufodunrin Mentees’ Network’ (LOMNET) as one of the initiatives to mark his 60th birthday.
