Lockdown: Ogun Residents Scoop Oil from Fallen Tanker-IMAGES

Residents of Ejinrin road, Ijebu Ode Ogun State have rushed out in large numbers to scoop palm oil from a fallen tanker.


According to an eyewitness medical practitioner who pleaded being anonymous said,  it happened yesterday on his way to work said, the palm oil tanker seems to have burst from a side but It was shocking to see people scoop the palm oil on the road so I had to stop to video them.



"The tanker seemed to burst from a side  and the people trooped out in  mass to scoop the oil which seems assive they will sell it to the people of Ogun State."



" I was shocked  so I had to get down to record small video.I am a journalist too, I thank God I dont reside in  Ijebu Ode as it looks assive these people will re-sell the oil scooped from the drainages."



The residents from the video was heard saying how many people will military men arrest? As they were meant to stay indoors yesterday in other to control the spread of the novel COVID-19.

The tanker which was ladden with palm oil had fallen over at Ijebu Ode, spilling its content all over the place.


It will be recalled that the Ogun state government since Friday April 3rd ordered a shutdown of the state to reduce the spread of Coronavirus which has rampaged the western world.

Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, recently announced two new confirmed cases of Coronavirus in the State, making the total Confirmed cases in the state seven.
